BG Kumar, President Core Product, Mavenir, reflects on discussions at the Telecom Review Summit 2017, such as challenges facing telecom operators in the region, which are “similar to challenges facing operators in other parts of the world.” Mavenir is a US technology company that offers a portfolio of digital services that enable global communications across a variety of mobile devices and platforms.

Dr. Chaesub Lee, Director of the Telecommunications Standardization Bureau, part of the ITU, caught up with Telecom Review TV at the Telecom Review Summit 2017 to share his perspective on digital and smart governance, and the importance of SMART networking. Lee reflected on his panel discussion at the Summit which focused on the role of governments in digital transformation and emerging technologies such as 5G.

Zain Jordan CEO, Ahmad Hanandeh, spoke to Telecom Review TV at the Telecom Review Summit 2017 about his vision for the future of telecommunications – a future that is more digital and more “disruptive”. Zain Jordan is a subsidiary of Kuwaiti telecom group Zain.

At the Telecom Review Summit 2017, Telecom Review TV caught up with Tarig Rahmatalla, CEO of Expresso Telecom Group, an African telecommunications company that provides services in five African markets including Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, and Ghana. He expressed his gratitude towards Telecom Review for bringing industry leaders together to exchange ideas to benefit the telecom industry.

Imad Kreidieh, Director General of OGERO Telecom, the main operator of the fixed telecommunications network in Lebanon, spoke to Telecom Review TV at the Telecom Review Summit 2017 about his participation at the event where he discussed digital transformation and digital government, with a focus on Lebanon, where transformation “is lagging behind.”

Speaking to Telecom Review TV at the Telecom Review Summit 2017, Toufi Saliba shared his thoughts on cyber-security and crypto-economics. Saliba co-authored fully-decentralized blockchain protocol, co-founded ToDa Foundation and 7 blockchain companies. He is currently CEO of Toda Algorand, the “Hewlett Packard of Blockchains”.

Saudi Arabia-based Integrated Telecom Company (ITC) aims to expand its wholesale services globally in terms of managed IT services, managed security services, and more, according to Georges Jaber, Business Development & Wholesale Division. Telecom Review TV spoke to Jaber at the 2017 Telecom Review Summit in Dubai, who spoke about the company’s strategy going into 2018.

In a wide-ranging interview, Telecom Review TV caught up with Silicon Valley-based Sri Reddy, Senior Vice President for IP/Optical Networks at Nokia, who spoke about how enterprises are changing drastically to adopt more digital and cloud-based business practices. He also touched on 5G, and talked about Nokia’s FP4, the world’s first 2.4Tb/s network processor which allows the most advanced networks to deliver up to 6x more speed.

The panel was moderated by Ghazi Atallah, CEO of NXN.


Mr. Patrick Sullivan provided an overview of how Verizon is developing network services and digital interaction with customers to make sure that they are successful in the fourth revolution.
