DAY 1


The 18th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit kicked off with momentous energy as it welcomed leaders, innovators, and experts from around the globe to discuss the future of telecom and ICT. Toni Eid, Founder of Telecom Review, and CEO of Trace Media International, reflected on the company's significant achievements.


Eng. Tariq Al Awadhi, Executive Director of the Spectrum Affairs Department at TDRA, officially presented the opening keynote on the 10th of December, 2024. His vision and perspective laid the foundation for the summit and reinforced the UAE's position as a global telecom leader.


During Day 1, an engaging fireside chat featured two of the telecom industry's key figures: Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, and Toni Eid, Founder of Telecom Review and CEO of Trace Media International.


During Day 1, Sylvain Seignour, President of Netcracker Technology, and Issam Eid, CMO Africa, Levant, KSA, and Qatar, Telecom Review Group, discussed the evolving role of telecom operators in a digital-first world.


 Executives from PMP Strategy, Netcracker, ITU, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vodafone Oman, and Telecom Egypt, explored the key priorities for today's ICT leaders during the Telecom Review Leaders’ panel.


Alex Xu, President of Huawei’s Carrier Business for the Middle East and Central Asia, delivered a keynote speech that presented Huawei’s Techco 1.0, a strategic initiative designed to support the transition of telecom operators to technology companies (techcos).


In a short pre-recorded keynote, Jeffrey Hulse, Senior Vice President and Group President, Verizon Partner Solutions, addressed the audience for attending the event and the ongoing, fast innovation within the telecom sector.
